S. Senate, began his law  practice as an associate with the firm’s predecessor, Bryan, Gordon, Nelson and  Allen in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

The talents of many members of the firm have been recognized by their peers.  Harry Allen has been listed in the publication “Best Lawyers in America” in the  field of personal injury litigation, including products liability and medical  malpractice. Tom Vaughn has served on the State Board of Bar Commissioners and  as a member of the Board of the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association. David  Cobb and Billy Hood have served as president of the Mississippi Defense Lawyers Association.  Billy Hood was selected as a member of the Outstanding Young Lawyers in American  in 1981 and Who’s Who in the American Legal Profession in 1985.

Members of the firm are very active in public service. Harry Allen has served  as Harrison County Commissioner for the Region XIII Commission on Mental Health  and Mental Retardation for over twenty years. He organized the Police Ministry  Foundation for the benefit of the Chaplaincy Program of the New Orleans Police  Department. Mr. Allen has also served pro bono as Assistant Attorney General  assigned to the Harrison County District Attorney’s Office. David Cobb has been Chairman of the Mississippi Gulf Coast YMCA for many years  and has served on numerous committees of the Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce.  Billy Hood has served as Board President of Westminster Academy in addition to  serving on the board of Directors of the Great Southern Club, Gulfport Yacht  Club, United Methodist Senior Services, Inc. and the Mississippi Defense Lawyers  Association. Mr. Hood has actively coached youth baseball and football in Gulfport. Other members of the firm have served as  adjunct instructors at local colleges and contribute articles for legal and  business publications.
